Over 100 participants joined the virtual launch of the Growing Together / Creciendo Juntos Cohort hosted by the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Church teams from across the North American Division, in addition to the local conferences that comprise the Southwestern Union, were in attendance to begin a half-year learning journey helping local congregations to be the best place for all generations to grow together.

Pastor Vanston Erwin Archbold Morales, Southwest Region Conference Vice President and Growing Together Certified Speaker, was the inaugural presenter for the first ever Cohorte de Creciendo Juntos. This Spanish language primary cohort experience is forging a new frontier to help Spanish congregations build more vibrant relationships with younger generations. Pastor Archbold is part of an expanded Growing Together Speakers’ Bureau that serves as the training faculty for the cohorts. Now with English, Spanish, and bilingual presenters, the bureau serves a broader swath of our local Adventist churches.

Dr. A Allan Martin, teaching pastor at Younger Generation Church and Growing Together point person for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, presented an overview of the Growing Young Wheel as well as the Keychain Leadership core commitment. Both he and Pastor Archbold challenged the church teams to begin praying over their young people as well as give careful discussion to the findings and recommendations of Growing Young.

The Growing Together Cohort and Cohorte de Creciendo Juntos will convene online monthly with the registered church teams who are invited to apply what they learn from not only the presenters, but also from other teams across the division. With a sincere desire to see intergenerational relationships flourish, all the teams and cohort leaders pray for Christ Jesus to be at the center of all their endeavors, making the Adventist local church the best place for all generations to grow.
