The Growing Together Journey intends to cheer, support, and resource local churches and organizations adopting and adapting #GYA into their local culture. Online groups, coachinars, webinars, and electronic resourcing will begin in 2019 to help you and your team make the Adventist church the best place for all generations to grow.

Tentative Growing Together Itinerary
As you and your church aim to transform local culture, nurturing your congregation to be a great place for all generations to grow, we want to travel with you providing support and encouragement along the way. Here’s a rough outline of mileposts along the journey:
- March-April — Start a local “Growing Young” book club or leadership discussion group.
- March 12th — Growing Young Assessment [individual version] provided to each church leader, free of charge.
- March 19th — Live Webinar Training: Launching and Sustaining Local Church Young Adult Ministry, 11:00AM [Central].
- April 16th — Live Webinar Training: Running and Multiplying Young Adult Small Groups, 11:00AM [Central].
- May 21st — Live Webinar Training: Visioning, Planning, & Growing Young Adult Retreats, 11:00AM [Central].
- June-July — Hold a church-wide season of prayer utilizing the Growing Young Adventist Prayer Guide.
- August-September — Back-to-School Elective: [choose one]
- Conduct a “Growing Young Adventists” sermon series.
- Conduct a church-wide Growing Young Assessment.
- Form a team to engage a Growing Young Adventists training event.
- September 3rd — Submit a Growing Young Commitment story on video [120 seconds max.].
Growing Young Book Club
To start this journey we want to encourage you to travel together with others! Starting a book club or leader discussion group using “Growing Young” is an excellent way to build relationships, develop a team, and get better acquainted with the Growing Young commitments. Growing Young Assessment
The Growing Young Assessment is an academically-validated survey tool that provides vital insights about your church’s effectiveness with young people. It harnesses the collective insights of your entire congregation to provide you with a true picture of reality.
No more guessing or simply hoping you’re focusing your church’s energy in the right places.
Based on the 6 core commitments discovered in our Growing Young research, the Assessment will highlight both strengths and growth areas based on data collected from your vantage point. March 12th we will release to you the access code and instructions to take the individual online assessment for free [a $20.00 value].
Live Webinar Training
In partnership with the North American Division Young Adult Ministry Advisory, we’re inviting your church to join in a series of three live ministry training webinars this Spring. Hosted by Pastor Benjamin Lundquist, these will be excellent training opportunities for your young adult ministry leaders with proven models and inspirational insights. The webinars will be hosted on a video-conferencing platform and the details for signing on will be available the Monday before each webinar on the advisory’s Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/NADYAMA/.
Growing Young Adventists Season of Prayer
Over the Summer we would encourage your whole church to pray over your young people in a heartfelt, collective, inspiring way. We would recommend your using the #GYA Prayer Guide to intentional lift up your youth and young adults to GOD, spending a week to remember next generations in your conversations with Christ Jesus.
An online version of the prayer guide is available on our Growing Young Adventists website. Or if you prefer a hard copy version, they can be ordered through AdventSource.

2018 Growing Together Summit DFW
This past Fall, Growing Together Summits launched leaders and churches onto a journey to make the Adventist church the best place for young people to grow.
