With “Growing Together in Christ” as their theme, the Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists [SECC] has embarked on an ambitious multi-faceted endeavor which includes, ENGAGE.
We ENGAGE next generation leaders as a welcoming Christian community, through thriving ministries for youth and young adults, and in the development of leadership opportunities to serve that shape our shared future.
Among the initiatives of Engage was the creative idea of a “Sanctified Shark Tank.”
An inter-departmental team of consultants helped guide the shark tank process, and many of the Growing Young commitments have been brought to life in local churches throughout the SECC territory.
Interagency partnerships between local churches, SECC, and the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists [PUC] have synergized specific projects that have blessed young people throughout Southern California and the communities they inhabit.
These are just a few samples of the over forty churches from across SECC who participated and developed contextualized projects, emphasizing the Growing Young commitments in their local setting.
